Hey all, I got some more information from Grant's Farm:

~They do not care if we also use Schlafley so long as it's not at the Farm
~No bike racks at Cedar Grove
~No music at Cedar Grove
~Food can only be provided by the Farm
~No they will not help sponser the event
~No, moving to a different day (like a wkday) will not get us more/better stuff; what they've already stated they will provide is their standard for all fund raisers, period.
~No, we cannot have booths for anything including helmet saftey, etc at Cedar Grove

LiveSTRONG/LAF

LiveSTRONG and The Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF) are one in the same. Some info I found:

1) Have questions in regarding the liability insurance and help with that

2) We sign up for their "Grassroots Fundraising" team. This is a free form that we would have to fill out with details of the event, etc. LAF would look at the info and get back to us in 5 days. They would supply sample press kits and releases/logo/donation website and various other information. I am working on getting more details on this without signing up yet. Hopefully will have more info by class.

Baseline plan

I have sent the baseline plan to everyone's email. I have not expanded on the dates as we have several predecessors. Main task I identified that need to be complete first are:

Grant's Trail

Roadway/Town Clearance

Orlando Gardens

Applebees

Grant's Farm

Afton Community Center

The document can be opened in MS Project. If you install the application it will be good through May 31st, 2009. Also here is the picture that was taken in class.

Please send the resource names for each task and I will update the plan. Also if you acquire any dates please let me know.

Hey Everyone,

We can use this blog to bounce ideas off each other for the various topics. I'm working on way such that we can organize certain areas, based on the different teams(Logistics, F&B, Activities, etc). I'm thinking along the lines of different folders for different discsussions.

I'm always open to suggestions as far as look & feel are concerned on this. I'm relatively new to blogspot, so it may take a little while to figure out how to optimize it for our discussions. If anybody is a blogspot expert I would appreciate your help.

The one catch to posting on a new topic on this blog is that you must create a gmail account. This only takes like 30 seconds and you don't have to use it for anything other than the log-in.
